by Skies of Arcadia has received a new trademark from Sega, which increases the hope of fans on a sort of revival.
New trademarks for the beloved Dreamcast and Gamecube RPG – including the original Japanese title Eternal Arcadia – were submitted on January 16 and made public on January 24, Final Weapon reported.
The future of Skies of Arcadia as a series has long been slumbering after Sega had abandoned the plans for a PC port and a fully-fledged follow-up. But fans of the game have never completely given up hope – and Sega is currently busy breathing new life into many of his other earlier franchises.

Skies of Arcadia was originally released on Dreamcast in 2000 and has been in existence for 25 years this year. Hey, that would be a good time to launch a sort of remaster or remake! The improved Gamecube port Skies of Arcadia: Legends was launched two years later.
None of the releases of the game unfortunately had the cash register ringing, but the colorful air pirate -RPG has since retained a fixed fan base, and Sega has occasionally referred to the game in other titles – such as Held Vyse as a playable character in Sonic & All -Stars racing transformed.
Many of the original development team of the game are now confused, but in 2020, Skies of Arcadia developer Kenji Hiruta visited Sega to reduce the RPG through a new entry.
Sega is currently going back to his roots to breathe new life into a whole series of classic franchises, including Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Ax, Streets of Rage, Crazy Taxi, Virtua Fighter and Sonic Racing.
We hope that this trademark will not only lead to a new Sonic Racing-Cameo.
